• Ok This is what i’m trying to achieve.

A site network where user can post their articles and get rewarded for each post.

For example, Lets say i have a main site example.com. I created a network like site1.example.com, site2.example.com, etc.

So lets say i have around 10 subsites in my network. Each subsite have one custom post type.

For example site1.example.com has custom post type videos and only dedicated for videos, site2.example.com has custom post type pictures and only dedicated for pictures, etc. Likewise i created 10 custom post types in 10 of my subsites.

Now i want user access in all network sites with one registration. I mean user who register in site2.example.com should able to access all my network sites and create new posts. They all should be able to access even if i add a new site in my network.

Is there any plugin available for this feature?. Please help me. Thanks

  • Are you using the old code from mu.www.ads-software.com? If not, you’re using multisite.

Users by default get one login that works across the entire network. they then have to be added to each site.

Yes i’m using multisite. But here is my problem. I created a new account in my main site named testing10. When i login with testing10 in my subsite it just redirect me to main site dashboard. I want testing10 should able to access subsite dashboard. So testing10 can post a custom post from my subsite dashboard. How can i achieve that?. I’m already using multisite user management plugin.

I want testing10 should able to access subsite dashboard.

Did you add testing10 to that subsite? Go to your Network Dashboard -> Sites and click on the EDIT link for the site. Then go to the users tab and add it.

If you are using subdomains, did you enable wildcard subdomains on your server, as stated in the instructions?

I think you dont understand what i’m asking. I need multisite user access with one registration. Since testing10 already added in my main site , i dont want to add that user in my subsites manually. I just want that user access all my subsites without registering in each subsite.

Did you configure multisite-user-management for all sites?

I just tested it and by setting a subsite of mine (using subdomains) to set all new users as subscribers, it added everyone.

Hey guys, Sorry. I think i’m an idiot. I network activated that plugin. But i didn’t enable default user role. Now i enabled it. Its working now. Thanks for the support.

and I’ll point out that adding a user to a sub site in a networking is *different* than the user registering on that sub site.

Go to the sub site, look at Users and Add New. “add existing” means someone already registered in the network.

all the plugin is helping you do is do this in bulk.
