problems getting pictures into facebook blog posting

  • A bit of a stretch, but recently my blog, posting on Facebook via NetworkedBlogs, stopped pulling in my post picture and instead is using an older picture. Networkedblogs says it can’t post the blog picture if it’s not enabled. My feed seems to be working fine though. But I’m wondering if there is something I need to do on my end on wordpress blog site to enable the pictures to post again. I working at this solution from all angles – wordpress, networkedblogs, and facebook help forums. Any ideas? many thanks…

    also, where do I find the feed url on my blog site in the dashboard? Can’t seem to locate it now…

    Your feed should be at https://your_domain/feed/

    do you mean https://brendatharp.com/blog/feed/

    as that’s the url of the blog page

    it had been working and the feed url on networked blogs was https://www.brendatharp.com/blog/feed/rss

    No – https://www.brendatharp.com/feed/ is your RSS feed.

    OK, I will try that and see what happens. Thanks, and I’ll get back with the results. I just deleted the post off Facebook and re-pulled the post (after the change to the feed url) manually in Networkedblogs. It will take a little time to come in, apparently.

    Hmmm that didn’t work either – and now no posts show up at all. It’s getting worse…even though I put back the /rss/ in the url after your idea didn’t work. Not sure how to proceed at this point.

    I can see a perfectly acceptable feed at https://www.brendatharp.com/feed/

    Thanks for the reply, esmi – I’ve been on a book deadline and no time to resolve this issue.

    I dropped network blog because the support was so poor and slow, but RSSG Graffiti while pulling my current post is not posting my thumbnail either. This is the message I get when I look at my feed URL:

    This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

    And then it shows the html code stuff. It used to be fine. Anyone, where do I go from here to ‘put’ style info in the xml file?

    The most common reason, by far, is when your feed does not expose the pictures to us. This is a setting you control on your blog, not on NetworkedBlogs. So, first, open your feed URL in a browser and see if the pictures show up. If they don’t, then login to your blogging software (WordPress, Blogger,…etc) and try to find the setting that controls this.

    The feed in a browser used to work but now it doesn’t show normally. Any ideas?
