Comment box not visble

Have you turned comments on for each of the individual posts in the Edit Post page?

There is no option to allow comments in Edit Post page. I clicked on Quick Edit and I got the Allow Comments option. I checked the box and now it shows the comment box for that post.

Hi, I am using the Twenty Ten theme for my blog. Several weeks ago, the comment box stopped displaying on my posts. I have tried installing bits of code in the theme editor per some other people’s suggestions but nothing is working. I have comments turned on in the discussion settings, quick edit, and in the screen options. I have the 3.21 version of WP. I have not upgraded because some of the details indicated that people were having problems with that version. I have enough problems.
I have always received comments on the main post page, without difficulty. I am not high tech, but I have spent hours trying to find the answer to this problem, and tried to implement their suggestions, but still not working. This has been going on for weeks, so I would really appreciate any help. Thank you.
