• I just got a host and am switching my blog from WP.com to WP.org.

My WP.com site is still live. I exported everything and imported to WP.org. Once my host increased the upload limit, the upload went smoothly. It looks like everything is there, my images are recognized everywhere (in posts and in media manager). But they all show as broken links.

I tried exporting only media from my .com site and importing them, but WP.org says they are all there already.

Any new images I upload work just fine. They also show up in the wp-content/uploads directory. My host says that all my images should be in this directory, but I don’t think that is the case because I moved some there using Filezilla and the links were not fixed on the site.

I can’t provide a URL because I’m currently using the terminal to view my domain on the host servers before changing dns. I don’t want my blog to be down while I’m getting all ‘upgraded’.

I’m newer to this backend-ish web stuff. I need help! I just need my images to show up and I’m on a roll…

I appreciate the help! I look at these forums all the time and they are so helpful.
