• My RSS feed looks okay in most RSS readers. However, the feed shows up funny in some web browsers. For example, here is a screenshot of my RSS feed using Google Chrome’s RSS extension:

    As you can see, the apostrophe in “They’re” is showing up as ’

    On top of that, I’m having one more problem. Here’s another screenshot:

    In this screenshot, you can see that the permalink glyph is showing up twice. You can see where this is happening here:

    The <description> field is adding a second glyph at the end of the excerpt. I’m not sure how to fix this. The following code is from my feed-rss2.php:

    It seems to be the case that most RSS readers (for example, NetNewsWire Lite and FeedBurner) use the data from <content:encoded>, which looks fine. However, it seems that some RSS readers (for example, Google Chrome’s RSS viewer) use the data from <description>, which adds a second permalink glyph at the end of posts.

    Any ideas?
