• Hi

Just a quickie – if i am posting on my home page and want the posts to appear on a page depending on their category – how do i do that?

For example. I am posting a variety of features – interviews, day in the life features, secret features. I want them to appear on the homepage and then also under a drop down menu where if readers so wish – they can just read that certain type of feature.

    Does that make sense?

Here is a link to my site – https://www.londonsstories.co.uk – i would like the interviews to appear on the interviews page and so forth.

Thanks to anyone who can offer any help.

    Amy

  • WordPress will do this automatically. All you need to do is to set up the categories that you want on your site and file each post under the relevant category when you create or publish it. To create a dropdown list of your categories, see wp_dropdown_categories or use the Category widget in Appearance -> Widgets

Sorry – i am probably being really stupid. I have set up categories in the portfolio and in the pages sections which both correspond with the menu which is visible at the top of the site. When i categorise the interviews it says that it has been categorised but doesnt link to the right page. What could i be doing wrong?

Those links on your menu appear to be Pages – not Categories.
