Cannot See Network Admin Menu or Superadmin Menu Multy Site Install

hello,
I’m running the latest version of WordPress released. I am running Multy Site configuration with subdomains, and ran through the network install wizard.
I put the stuff before the stop editing line that the wizard told me to put, as well as created a blogs.dir directory, gave it full write permissions to the web server, and put the rewrite rules into a .htaccess file I created. The only thing I see upon relogging in to WordPress, is under tools, the network setup menu link. No network admin or Super Admin menu items are displayed.
Would the username I used to login have anything to do with it? The username is webmaster.
