• Just spend hours putting together a quiz on my website (Quizbox has a nice webpage where you can create a quiz and then copy&paste the html code to your blog or webpage).

I went into the html editor, pasted it, saved it.
I then checked with the Visual Editor (OK, I read later that you shouldn’t do this, but Hey! – I had SAVED/Updated already!), in any event, my pretty quiz is totally messed up. WordPress totally changed the html code I had added to the page.
And it does not seem to handle nested lists very gracefully.

I have googled for solutions, I tried to fix it, all to no avail, WordPress keeps overwriting this html code.

I tried to upload a plugin that supposedly prevents it from doing this – again no luck, I think it was incompatible with the version I’m using and would not install.

HELP!!!!!! I have almost no time to work on this as it is, this is sooo frustrating to waste hours for nothing!

    Thanks!

    Hi Woodymood:
No it was not, but this one is giving me the same error, which leads me to believe that there is something else going on. I’m on a Mac using Safari – could that be part of my problem?
This is the error I got with bth plugins:

Installing Plugin from uploaded file: raw_html.php
    Unpacking the package…

Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

yes, this is something else, I don’t know why it happends but you may try another way to install your plugins, not from the dashboard, but by downloading the archive, unzip it, and then transfert it to wp-content/plugins/, an finally activate it from the dashboard

Actually that’s what I tried to do both times, because I didn’t even know that there were a gazillion plugins already in WordPress that you could download from the Dashboard.
So I tried one of those called enable-raw-html-disable-corruption and it worked just fine (the download did and it seemed to have fixed my problem).
So, I have no idea what it is about uploading unzipped plugins that is causing that error.

    Anyways, thanks for you help!
