• Hi,

For some reason when I make changes to the Twentyten theme using Child theme changes, the changes don’t show up. What I have to do is activate and new theme, then I click back on my Child Theme and some of the changes will then show up.

I’ve also noticed when I change or delete the widgets in the footer, some pages still show the widgets I had deleted and some show the new changes.

Is this a caching problem? I am not using a caching pluggin.

  • Have you tried:
    – deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). Don’t forget the ones in mu-plugins. If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

Thank you for the suggestion. I’ll give it a shot. Will deactivating the plugins delete all the info I had used with them? For example with the SEO Pack? Another question, what is the mu-plugin?

    Are you using multisite?

    No. Just the one site.
