NextGEN series of slideshows line up wrong (all floated left)
-
Hello!
I’m customizing the CSS of the NextGEN gallery. My goal is to put a series of slideshows in a horizontal line on the front page of my site.
Problem is: When the dynamically-generated slideshows (.ngg-slideshow) are floated left so they line up next to each other, the first/left slideshow’s top margin appears to be around 0, the second one (to the right) has a bigger top margin, etc. etc. It ends up looking like steps. When .ngg-slideshow is floated right, the right slideshow is uppermost and the one to it’s left is pushed down, etc. Margins and padding are set to zero. I wonder if this is some sort of bug.
I’m especially confused because at some point, everything was lined up correctly. Obviously I should have backed up my site, but I didn’t. Now I’ve gone so far as to create a whole new WordPress site and files, but the problem happened again.
Any thoughts on what’s causing this?IF NOT, some other ideas I had:
– Should I wrap .ngg-slideshow in another <div> and position that? If so, how does one create a div in the php file of NextGEN?
– In Gallery > Options > Gallery settings (as opposed to slideshow settings), I see “integrate slideshow” is an option. Would this help me? If so, is there a way to go back to plain ol’ galleries on certain other pages? Thanks.
