• Hi all, i believe the problem is a common problem so i am asking whether anyone has an experience about this before

My client that has existing website that is operational. It is for local newspaper. He wants me to build a better one. My recommended way would be wordpress.

I can always develop wordpress locally on my laptop using WAMP until the website is ready for UAT (User Acceptance Test). The thing is that the newspaper editor would have to practice using wordpress (the deliverable) at UAT before they actually start writing for public.

What is the best way to do this?
No need to worry about SEO because current website doesnot have one.

For example : if the current website at https://www.xyz.com
    1. Should i suggest moving the existing content (an epaper) to the subdomain (epaper.xyz.com) then use the https://www.xyz.com for my coming site later for the user test stage?
    2. Should I buy another domain for this project e.g (www.xyz.org), test it with the editors, and then move this site to https://www.xyz.com when it is ready for live ? there is wordpress plugins that can do search for all the occurrences of the text containing old domain and replace them to the new ones.

    Thank you,
    regards,
    joie
