• I’ve done a search within the PageLines forum and had a look around the forums here. I can’t seem to come across an answer. Here is what I’m needing.

I want to change the format of the page titles. Don’t need the site name or symbols in the title – just want the article title.

Yes normally a simple code change within the header file. But I’ve been running into many themes that aren’t coded in a way that I can change the code the way I used to. Platform free seems to one of those.

I’d also like to be able to remove HTML tags attribute examples below the comment area. I saw a forum thread on how to accomplish that task – but it related to the paid version only. I’d also like to get rid of the email & URL title and boxes in comment area. Again normally a fairly easy edit within the comment.php. Not turning out to be so with the Platform theme.

I would assume that the code is pulling from another file. I’ve not come across where or what that is.

I would have asked this question in their forum. But it seems that only paid accounts are welcomed there.

Any help is always appreciated. Any snide remarks, insults or other garbage not welcome.

Found part of my solution on my own since no one else seem to want to offer.

Using theme editor look for Platform: library.templates.php.

Look for code = Add the blog description for the home/front page. Above this area is where you can change how you wish article titles to be displayed on your site.

This thread in their paid forum got me headed in the right direction.

That easily solved my title issue after beating my head against a wall with no help for 6 days. Now I have to hunt down the solutions to my other issues mentioned above.

Crap the fix I put in place kills the main page title now. That isn’t good. Fix one thing then something else breaks = not cool. I’ll live with it this way for now.

Looks like I may have fixed this with a tweak of the code I removed.

Here is what I took out // Add the blog name. Correction nope that didn’t work – need to whack all the code. Crap.

Placing this code https://pastebin.com/Wkzz09sD in Custom Code area didn’t kill the HTML tags and attributes. Even though that has worked for me in the past with Suffusion and it was suggested in the Pagelines forum as a solution.
