Firefox and Chrome redirect error- but not on Safari.

  • I’m getting an error that says:

    The page isn’t redirecting properly
    Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

    for firefox- I get the same type of error on Google Chrome.

    What could be making this error?
    I am running wordpress on a local server on MAMP, WP on 3.2.1.

  • I ran into the same error. In my installation it was caused by the “custom permalinks” plugin. I disabled it, and am now back in business.
