• I had successfully installed wordpress.
I wanted to redirect my new site temporarily to the old one, but I put in the WordPress URL field, under General Setting, the URL of the old site.
I can not access my admin panel of wordpress. How can I fix it?

  • 1. Go to your database in phpmyadmin
    2. Select the correct database
    3. Go to the table wp_options
    4. Select option_name = siteurl and option_name = home (in my case it is number 1 and 37th options
    5. Edit the 2 fields to put your new site url back.

That should restore the NEW site. As for redirecting the new one back to the old one, you can set that up in your dns – WordPress doesn’t have a feature for doing this.
