Logged in users – and still anonymous comments

  • I have been working with WP for just a little over a month, and I just can’t find any help on comments. I could care less right now if I got ‘Comment – Spam’, at least I would get comments.
    I don’t care if the person is registered or not, I just want the basic form of name, email, url, comment box to be ready for use if someone does want to post a comment.
    I left MT because my comments were not being posted or emailed to me… but now that I’m here at WP – I’m not getting anything because no one can post a comment, be it they are logged in or not.
    I’m at my wit’s end.

  • I just posted a comment, it worked fine. So is it just logged in people who are having trouble?

    Yes. Logged in people come back and the comments turns them into anonymous commenters.

    Maybe they need to add their name or nickname to their profile or something? Did you get it fixed, I just saw some comments on your site that someone said was anonymous, but they showed a name for me.

    I added their names on those comments. I never thought of the nick name.. but I think logging out has helped some so I set my options to not having to be logged in to post a comment.
