• Hello. I aspire to have a blog with fun, elegant ease of readability, which is why on my site rebeccapatt.com, I would like the post teasers that are on the homepage and in the category pages to be clickable to the post itself… not just via the post title and the “Read More” button.

I would like the featured image thumbnails to do the same thing, and for both the teaser text and the featured image to have a “hyperlink hover” effect. I asked in another forum question about getting the featured images to link to the post and am still far from solving that.

Any answer I get, for me to understand it, needs to be very simple and spelled out due to my novice abilities.

I use the headway theme — if that helps.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!

  • you should be able to do so with a “read more” link.

everything above the link is your “teaser” and *should* be shown where you say. If you want more control over it be sure to check this out Customizing_the_Read_More

Hi Joshua, I am grateful for your taking the time to respond. I read the link you suggested.

I’m afraid it does not answer my question of how to make the teaser text, along with the featured image, link directly to the post… with a lovely “hyperlink hover” effect… in addition to the standard routes of getting to the post by clicking on the title and the “Read More” link.

I’m wanting to do exactly this..

Only problem is that I will always have the full post showing on the homepage & categories.

Somehow I want a “Comments” link at the bottom of each teaser, that links to the individual post where all the comments are shown.

I assume it would be pretty easy! Please help!
