How Can I Improve?

I like your header image, although it has nothing to do with your sites purpose. Probably want to change that.

It’s nice to see a light colored game review site. Most of the game review sites I’ve seen are black. I guess black shows off the images better, but it’s not necessary.

The site is pretty basic as you say. A bit bland actually. I think you need to spice it up with some images from the games you are reviewing. This will help grab your visitors attention.

You have a lot of competition in this segment so in order to keep visitors interested you’ll have to make your site more visually appealing. What I think will set you apart will be simple navigation. Most of the other sites I’ve visited tend to be messy looking. Your simple theme will definitely help.

You are using the default them, not much post on the blog, looks pretty much new. Here are a few things anyway that you can improve on.

1) Change your permalinks structure, under setting in your wordpress admin panel. Select a friendly url structure, like /%postname%/ etc.

2) Get a good theme, there are plenty of free themes available, some of them are really good too.

3) Make some categories, write longer articles.. use social media, put some social media stuff, facebook etc. on the sidebar..
