E-mail alert for new post in Category

  • I have found plugins that send out an email alert when there is a new post on the entire blog. Is there one, or a mod, that will allow users to subscribe to only get alerts when a post is in a specific category?

  • The challenge is that per-user category subscriptions require a complete user management system; and that’s a little more work than most people want.

    You could try something like Bloglet to convert per-category RSS feeds into email notifications.

    Or you could encourage your readers to subscribe directly to the per-category RSS feeds of your site.
