• Hi, I’m just starting out, I’d like to use WP as a website, with only some, as in a few pages that I will blog on, or allow comments, on, the vast majority of pages I’d rather not have comments on.

How do I remove the “Leave a Reply” box at the bottom of each page?

I’m using the “Twenty Eleven: Stylesheet” theme. I have checked, or unchecked the “allow user to leave a comment” box in the settings page, but this did not remove the “Leave a Reply Box” from the page.

Thank you in advance for the help, Domo!

That setting can be overridden on individual posts/pages, so posts and pages that were already published before you made that admin change will still allow comments.

you’ll need to change the “allow comments” on those individually. You can do this on the Edit Posts screen using the Quick Edit feature to edit them all as a batch.

Thank you very much for the quick response!

That worked exactly as I wanted it to, when you put the pointer over the name of the page, the menu “edit|quick edit|trash|view” appears just below the name of the page, I clicked on the quick edit link and there it was, a box on the right side that reads “Allow Comments” I just unchecked that box, and it the “Update” button to the further right, and was done.

Again, thank you very much for the help!

    Cheers!
