Facebook Tab Manager Problem

Please make sure you have the latest version, as I did put out some bug fixes over the past week.

I do – you’ve been very busy…I’m diligent about updates, however, I think that is what the problem is, because like I said it was working last week.

So what specifically is not working? Can you give me URLs? Helps to look at both the URL on your domain and the tab url on Facebook.com. Is it an error message, or content not loading, or wrong template displayed, or what? Is there anything else you’ve changed?

The tabs show up on the left of my page:

but when you click on the page say, Books for Sale it obviously tries to goes to a new page but nothing is there.

Enable permalinks on your site, and the problem should clear up immediately. I will put out an update that does a better job of handling the query string format ?fbtab= but you can probably solve the problem quicker by enabling permalinks.

Permalink is on, as far as I can tell and is set to default.

I meant “pretty permalinks” not the default with the ? query string.

Regardless, if you install v 2.9.5, which is available now, that should take care of the problem

Gotcha…. I’ll check out the new version since it seems to me that there was a plugin I have installed that required permalinks to be “Default”

I have a question that maybe you could help me with. My facebook share button on my posts is not pulling in the content from my posts. Instead, it is pulling in a random image and description from another item (advertisement, comment, other post in featured content slider, etc.) to be shared. The link to be shared is correct. But, the image and description is not. Can you help me???

Facebook Tabs is WAY different than the share button. Facebook Tabs is where you have a page that actually exists on your personal website, that you pull through Facebook by making an application. I would check your settings and if you can’t see anything wrong there, go to your PlugIns and click on the specific Plugin. There is usually a home page for the plugin and thats a great place to start. David Carr is the maker of the Facebook Tab Manager so at least I found the right guy for my problem.

upgraded to 2.9.5 to no avail. Even went in and tried it with

Also noticed after the upgrade that when I did a Preview of my edits on WP that all my pictures were missing where as 2.9.4 they were showing fine.
Any other thoughts on what dumb thing I did?
