Password protected not working with my custom theme

    I have assigned this page to be password protected – https://www.mercercountyprosecutor.com/login
    I have my custom theme turned on and none of the “This post is password protected…” text shows up or a box to enter a password. When i switch to the Twentyeleven theme that came with wp the text and password box show up. I assume something is missing from one of my theme’s files but i dont know what code or in which file it is missing from.

  • I have the same problem! I emailed tech support for the theme that I purchased, and was told that “password protection does not work with custom theme page templates, we are really sorry about it.”

    This has to be wrong! Somebody MUST have some sort of workaround, right?

    Anyone??

    Also, I’m not sure how this thread got marked “resolved,” since there wasn’t a single response….

    Tell that to your theme’s vendors but, in future, when posting here, please post your own topic.

    Sorry! On every other forum I’m on, I get yelled at if I don’t search for other threads on my topic before posting.

    And I DID tell the theme people that I’m not happy, but they just said, “sorry…”.

    There HAS to be a way to make it work!
