I recently upgraded WordPress to 3.2.1 and on one of the blogs we host it seemed that the pages and posts disappeared. However when you go to the admin page, it says there are (fr’instance) 4 posts or pages, yet below where they should be listed says “no pages found”.

I don’t have access to phpmyadmin so i tried to repair the wp_X_posts table with “repair table wp_X_posts” via mysql cmdline. I tells me “The storage engine for the table doesn’t support repair”. If I do a check table it tells me its ok.

I have over 300 other blogs on the server and so far they seem fine (or no one else has complained yet, but the ones I randomly checked are working.) Any ideas?

Turn off the plugins for that site, for starters.

Why are you so smart? You told me before that if the url’s changed the number of characters, it messed things up. I thought that sounded crazy, yet serialization was at the root of my problem and you were correct.

So I read that everyone always tells everyone to turn off the plugins- but as a n00b, I was sure that didn’t apply to me. Surely my problem was much more complex that that. And you know what? You were correct again.

I shall never doubt you and will always speak highly of you at cocktail parties, etc. Thank you again for your assistance.
