Restore a Backup of a Website to My WordPress?

  • Hello all,

    As you can probably tell from my username and likely from this thread, I need some help with WordPress. I am very new to WP and am having trouble with importing an XML file that a friend gave me to edit for him. How do I do this? I tried importing the file through an RSS feed (Google searches led me to this) on WP and that helped somewhat. What I mean is that one page is available on the home page, but the other pages are unreachable and can be seen as listed under “posts” on the dashboard.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    UPDATE:

    I imported using the “WordPress” option as opposed to “RSS” and it worked better. The problem now is that I cannot click on any of the links or pages, I am stuck at the home page. I am running WAMP Server btw.

    I really hope that this thread is not in the wrong section. If it is, sorry. Any help would be appreciated.
