  • I’m having a similar issue. Header-Slideshow plugin displays differently in Opera from the way it looks in Safari and Firefox (all on Mac).

In Safari and Firefox, the blog title disappears, but the post content all displays ok. In Opera the disappearance of the header causes the post content to shift upward, beneath the slideshow, making that content invisible to users.

To give you a clearer idea of what I mean, here are a series of screenshots:

    • what the site should look like (what it does look like when the slideshow is turned off and a static image is placed as header image): link.
    • what the site looks like in Firefox and Safari: link
    • what the site looks like in Opera: link

Yesterday I had the chance to check the site out on a friend’s pc in IE 8, and I found that the slideshow didn’t appear at all on some pages.

I’m running the site on WordPress 3.04 on Yahoo web hosting (upgrading to WP3.2.1 not an option). The theme is a TwentyTen with minor css changes to make the text smaller and sans-serif.

I’ve turned the slideshow back off due to these errors, but here’s a link to the site

    Hi All,

I have the same problem. The site looks fine in Firefox, Chrome. In IE the header slideshow is shifted to the right. I’m using Weaver 2010 theme.

The Internet Explorer display issue has been resolved in the release of version 1.1. Linux Firefox 64-bit also tested fine.

Thank-you all for your assistance identifying this issue.

N.B. Automatic upgrade may overwrite the default xml file.
If you edited this default file to point your own images you should probably rename it before upgrading to ensure it is NOT overwritten by the automatic upgrade process. After renaming the default xml file then upgrading header slideshow automatically, simply go to the header slideshow admin screen and point it to the renamed xml file.
