Recreating theatre poster splash. Help?

Hi there. Looking to see if there is a way to get a splash image as seen here.

Notice the image is clickable.

Wp splash image plugin no longer works. Wish it did cause that looks like it was the answer.

Any way to do this with lightbox or similar? A plug in would be best. Or some way to insert one through a control panel.

There is another plug in where you can assign a page as the splash page. That page then shows up as a lightbox splash image. Unfortunately the page I created still has the theme attributes. I am really looking to recreate the splash that the link above leads to.
