Media Editor Cuts Off Display of Landscape Images

I’m experiencing a problem with my media editor in which landscape images of all sizes are being cut off. Here’s a Screen Shot of the problem. You can also see from this
Screen shot of the Full Image that the full image is there to be viewed when you go to the direct path listed. This seems like a similar bug to what is being described here.

This still occurs even when I deactivate all plugins and change themes. I’ve even tried applied applying the patch described in this ticket.
