• Meteor slide images get cropped–not full sized.

    I have the “slide height” and “slide width” in the “Configure Slideshow” page settings, set to 300px. All my images are no larger than 300px on their long side. But only part of the image shows.

    They are not full sized and are pushed to the top and right of the box.

    I read another post and saw you suggested this be added to custom CSS…

    #wrapper .meteor-slides .mslide img {
    max-width: 100%;
    }

    I tried that but it didn’t work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Can you post a link to the site you are working on so I can check it out?

    Is this only happening in certain browsers, I can see the whole slide image in Chrome and Firefox. It looks like the slideshow is too large to fit in the sidebar, the slideshow should be set to the same height and width as the slide images.

    The whole slides are not showing in IE, Firefox, Chrome or Safari on my two computers. The slide of Bill Clinton is the closest to full size.

    I have the “slide height” and “slide width” in the “Configure Slideshow” page settings, set to 300px. All my images are 300px on their long side. There are vertical images and horizontal images.

    For example, the image of Arnold Schwarzenegger is a vertical and 300px in height, so only about half of it is displayed–the top half.

    If you think of anything else, please let me know and thanks again for your assistance.

    These are the dimensions that the Arnold image have been cropped to: 212X165.

    Did you have the dimensions in the slideshow settings set to 300×300 before you uploaded these images? The slide images are cropped to fit those settings when they are uploaded, changing the setting later updates the size of the slideshow, but not the images themselves.

    I started all over again. Uninstall, reinstall. Deleted images. Did slideshow settings. Uploaded images. Everything’s good.

    Thanks again for helping.

    No problem, that’s good news!

    One more question please. Is it possible to have my vertical images (width is less than 300 box width)to be centered instead of flush right? Thanks.

    The slides are centered within the slideshow. The problem is that the sidebar is narrower than 300px, so the slideshow extends past the width of the sidebar and the images appear offcenter. If the slideshow and sidebar widths are the same, it should center the slides correctly.
