Site is unresponsive after deleting a broken theme

  • During the past week I activated an incompatible theme with word press, arras. As soon as I activated it my wordpress went blank and everytime I went back to my site it gave the message

    Fatal error: Call to undefined method Arras_Widget_Tag_Cloud::WP_Widget_Tag_Cloud() 404

    I was told that deleting the arras theme via ftp would revert the site back to twentyten, but after doing so the site just went blank saying cannot find server.

    I have tried everything from renaming folders on ftp, uploading new themes, twentyten, twentyeleven, and the arras theme again. Nothing works.

    Someone suggested I activate another theme via the site database, I don’t know what that is and how to edit it.

    Can anyone help?
