Yes I have tried using HTML, it doesnt work. It appears as text and not as a link.

I try it but it does not work.
Strange we don′t can get a url link to the images.

I had my widget in sidebar and then I click on the thumbnail I don′t need to get to the original images I need to have a clickable url link on the images so I can use it for example clickable ads.
(so then we click on a thumbnail we get to this site on the web instead)

You could just insert the image using the text widget and some HTML if all you need is a linked image.

    Thanks for the answer …

I had try that too but can′t get it clickable !

(Alt & Title Text / Description)(the second field)

    <a title="mysite" href="https://mysite.com">mysite</a</a>

still it redirect me to the original images. I need the thumbnail to redirect to the url link to the web site or post on my site.

and I can′t insert html in nextgen widget … it is no fields for that !

    have you tried like this?
    <a href="URL"><img src="image URL"></a>

Not working and it′s still redirect to the original images.

Make the image into the thumbnail and save it somewhere (like tiny pic or photo bucket). Put the direct link into the “image URL” part. Put the code into a text widget for your sidebar.

    Does that work?

    thanks for the answer …

yes I know I can use text widget and insert html code there ??
but it was not my problems ??

(I had use/work/customize wordpress now the latest 6 years I′m a webmaster/webdesigner). so I know the most about how to wordpress …

but my question was how to insert url links (to other web sites) in the widget for nextgen-gallery. (can′t get it to work)

if I use a text widget I should not need a nextgen-gallery and I know it is other plugins we can use instead to show random images/ads in sidebar and ofcourse they are linked to url links for websites.

But I like this plugin and it is why I must figure out how to do I′m sure it is more people out there who need a solution for this. (I had read on google and know it is not only me thinking about how to make this work on our sites !)

Hope someone here can help me.
