  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

I have no idea how to do either of the above. I’m in my hosting FTP file i see the different themes but am a little hesitant to “do something wrong” so I haven’t renamed the files… any other suggestions?

No one suggested that you try renaming files. Just that you rename some folders.

I’m sorry, but I’m not saavy lol, so i should rename the folder wp-content/themes to what name?

No – rename your current theme’s folder by adding “-old” to the end of the folder name

i did. I went to themes then rename and chose “the style” then added “-old” to the end of it and hit “OK” nothing changed on the site or the admin panel.

No! If you have access to Appearance -> Themes, just switch to the Twenty Eleven theme.

I don’t have access to “apperance”. I use to but not any longer

Then you have to change the name of the current theme’s folder using FTP.
