buddypress->bbpress-.?!?

  • Dear WordPress forum.

    Some preliminary info:
    Wordpress 3.2.1 installed on the root of the domain (CentOS)
    Buddypress 1.5.1
    Artisteer 2 theme through Buddypress Template pack
    bbpress 2.0 (through buddypress install)

    I installed buddypress and, when choosing the Pages for the members, groups, etc. each one worked with the exception of “Discussion groups” – every time I would either create a page for it and point to it or create a new page for it to point to within the “Pages” tab of buddypress, it would disappear from my menu, and if I tried to nagivate to https://www.mydomain.com/discussionforums it would go to mydomain.com and show an error 404 not found for the page.

    When bbpress was installed it installed to https://www.mydomain.com/forums; and it is indeed there. However, the discussion forums link is still mysteriously missing and https://www.mydomain.com/discussionforums does not point to the bbpress install.

    I haven’t even seen anyone else with this issue and was wondering if anyone could offer some guidance.
