Help changing pre 3.0 theme to accomodate the new custom nav menus

    Currently using modified Sharp theme.

    All I want is to have the new custom menu display properly. I’ve added the relevant function to the functions.php file and I’ve got the menu screen to recognize that the theme supports the menu.

    I’ve been able to post a vertical menu in the footer as a test. However, every time I try to use the theme’s current styling for the horizontal menu I either get another vertical menu or nothing displays.

    Okay, I’ve narrowed down the problem. My theme calls up this function to generate the actual horizontal menu. The other divs in the header just make the background and control the overall size and position.

    I definitely cannot wrap my head around it.

    I figured it out. My theme was created using artisteer. This tutorial shows you how to convert the artisteer menu into the new 3.0 menu. Worked perfectly minus the drop down isn’t showing the whole text… I’ll figure that out later. In the meantime I’ll just shorten the text.
