• When trying to login, all I get is a blank white screen. I get to the admin login page and type in my user name and password. I know they are correct. It says it is “done” on the bottom of the page yet there is not content. My blog is still up and running. This seems to be an issue on the wordpress side of things.

When I do try to login, this address appears in my address bar https://www.sciencelessonsblog.com/wp-login.php. But like I said, a blank white screen comes up.

    Help?

  • Have you recently installed any plugins just before encountering the problem?

You can FTP to your plugins directory, and rename it something like plugins_old. This will disable all of your plugins and you can see if you can login again.

Yes. It happen after installing plugins. Forgive me, I am new to this. How do I “FTP to your plugins directory, and rename it something like plugins_old”?

You need to have an FTP account set up through your cpanel of your hosting provider.

Then, you need to use an FTP client like FileZilla or CoreFTP to get access to your webfiles.

The plugins directory is at https://www.YOURSITE.com/wp-content/plugins

Josh, thank you so much for you time. I got it worked out. Apparently, bluehost has a directory where I could access all my files and then I followed your directions about renaming it.
