  • Is this a new installation or did this just start happening. If it’s a new installation, I’m guessing that it didn’t install properly. I would try re-installing.

Thanks for your reply. This was not a new installation. I’ve had this blog up and running for a while now.

Ummm sounds like something got messed up. Usually that means that a new plugin was installed and messed things up? Did anything like that happen? Did you check the site in another browser and see if the same thing happens? Do you have weird add-ons installed?

Still can’t get into my dashboard lh nav bar. There is nothing there so I can’t post or update my pages or do anything other than update my profile. Haven’t added any recent plugins. I’m using the twentyten them.

Try going to your /wp-admin/plugins.php page by changing in the address bar and disabling all your plugins, see if it comes back.

    Thanks, Eric.

Tried that and I get this message:
You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

Where you logged in when you tried? You said you could log in, correct?

If you are logged in, then try to go to the plugins page (/wp-admin/plugins.php) and disable them.

Thanks to Eric and Christine for your offer of help.

A thump on the head to me, I’m embarrassed to admit I was not using the correct administrator login. I’m good now. Thanks again. Yvette
