How to Hide Tags, Post Date and Author from Excerpts

an unedited Twenty Eleven does not show excerpts on the home page – what modifications have you done so far to show excerpts on the front?

This is twenty eleven straight out of the box – no editing. I simply added a ‘more’ tag after the first paragraph to create the excerpt since I don’t want the full post showing on the home page.

I don’t know what a child theme is, but I’ll check out the link you posted.

if you don’t mind having the same for the archive pages as for the home page, you need to edit content.php (in your child theme) and remove some sections https://pastebin.com/nCqCvg3b

Yikes! Okay…I’ll give this a try later when I’ve figured out how to get the child theme done ??
