Posting with email

    I’m looking at the WordPress manual on how to post using email and they basically say just come up with a unique email and post.
    But when I go to my admin settings for posting by email it asks for a ‘mail.example.com’ server name and stuff that’s a little complicated.
    Using WordPress 3.2.1 and want to post via email. Can anyone show me how? tell me how, anyway?
