• My feed just quit updating the other day and when I went to resync it I got an error saying “Your feed filesize is larger than 512K. You need to reduce its size in order for FeedBurner to process it. Tips for controlling feed file size with Blogger can be found in Tech Tips on FeedBurner Forums, our support site.

I was able to get it back posting by dropping the posts down to 6 and to summary (instead of full text post) in my WP dashboard in the Reading section. These settings are horrible for my site (my readers hate the summary) and my pictures quit posting as well. Then I read about adding this snipit on the end of my original feed url “?max-results=10”. That seemed to help for a few days (was even able to move my post limit back up to 10 plus full post not just summary). BUT, just yesterday it quit updating again and the limit size warning is back. I used web sniffer and it tells me I have Content (26.98 KiB). This is with my reading setting in the WP dashboard being 12 posts (would rather this be 15-20) and full text. So I am no where near the 512 k limit. Just frustrating and I am loosing readers.

  • OK, I had this problem and it was driving me crazy, one minute my feeds were working and the next… not. I did everything in wordpress I could think of… Settings -> Reading -> 3 and also marked it Summary. Still no good… THEN, I went to Feedburner and I told it to summarize. It’s on the Optimize tab at the bottom called, Summary Burner. SO Far… so good.

    Have a great day!
