• Seriously, none of them work. I’ve tried every single one out there: not a single email is sent.

I’m using SMTP, it’s running on the server, but the Plugins refuse to use it.

  • Hi,

I’d say outsource the newsletters to a third party e.g. MailChimp, aweber etc.
Otherwise your site may be blacklisted for sending emails even though the emails may have been collected with the permission of the people.

Additionally, the services I mentioned do a double opt in so people have to confirm their request to be on the list.

    Good luck

If they use wp_mail() as their sending routine, perhaps you can pair it with a good replacement that uses your SMTP settings. There also may be some options in your PHP config that need to be fixed.

    Thanks for the information.

Years ago I used to use a software I installed on my server called “MajorDomo”. To date it is still one of the best–but no longer updated. Due to that I’m too afraid to install it without knowing what holes might be in the code.

Does MailChimp work outside of WP? I’ve never heard of them.
