• This is the second time I’ve had this problem. The website looks fine until I log in, and then all the posts say “uncategoriezed” and the webiste shows the homepage, but all the posts are missing. I can over ride this by enabling my blog option, but I would rather have the categories working again. The blog shows all my private posts as well, and I can’t hide them. I try to create a new category and the counter includes it at the top of the list, but the category does not show in the list, which says, “no items found.”

Is this a sign that I’m being hacked? I would sure like to know how to avoid this problem in the future, I might even pay a little extra for security if this is an external problem.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Another theory of mine is that I have been posting some irregular content. Is it possible that my site has been cencored by WordPress or Genesis? I don’t think that my content is actually that offensive to be honest.
IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO AT THIS POINT TO GET MY SITE BACK UP AND RUNNING NORMALLY?

  • The WordPress software has no way to censor anything.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). Don’t forget the ones in mu-plugins. If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
