JW Player crashed my entire website.

    I have wordpress 3.2 installed. Everything worked fine until today. I get this message when going to my website (https://mushroompalace.com/).

    Fatal error: Class ‘LongTailFramework’ not found in /home/content/58/7002358/html/wp-content/plugins/jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress/jwplayermodule.php on line 74

    I presume there’s a problem with the JW player plugin that causes this? How do I fix this when I can’t even access the dashboard?

  • You can disable the JW player and see what’s happening on the dashboard.
    Go to wp-content/plugins/
    and rename jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress to something else.

    You should be able to access your admin page again.

    I get a blank page when going to https://mushroompalace.com/wp-content/plugins/.
    If it is of any help, I remember updating JW player to the newest version yesterday. That’s probably what’s causing this, no?

    I can access the FTP files. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    Oh sorry,
    I meant you need to change the plugin name through the FTP.

    From your ftp, go to wp-content/plugins/
    and rename jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress to something else.
