Sidebar widgets…can you change which you use on homepage

    I am using the widgets for my sidebar, but there are a few of those widgets that I don’t want on my homepage only, which is a static page. So, I don’t want categories widget and recent comments on the homepage sidebar, but I want those on all of my other pages. Is there a work around for this, while still using the widgets. I don’t want to recode any of the main template files, other than add something to the functions.php file. Possible? I can’t seem to find any info on this.

    If someone needs more info, please let me know! I am basically wanting all of my widgets to show on every sidebar of every page of my site, and only have a few of those widgets on my homepage.
