Redirect deleted Forum to root director

Hi there,

We removed our bbpress forum, cant seem to get the redirect containing the query string ?tag=* to work in HTACCESS. Rather, I can get it to work, but it just isn’t limited to the /forums directory, it is universal!

So in short… Can someone help me with what I need to put in .htaccss too redirect:
https://example.com/forums/tags.php?tag=%5Ball-tags%5D
to https://example.com/

I.e. we need to direct the /forums/ subdirectory and all its contents, including those with query strings that google is still trying to crawl, to our home page.
