• I am unable to edite templates because wordpress tells me I need to change ‘permissions’ on my server. Looked online and found out how to locate the theme folder on my server using filezilla.
The coraline theme permissions are set at 755.
Is it safe to change them to 777?
    Thanks Nick

ps I have done this actually and the templates page still says
“You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes”. Any other ideas on how to make my templates writeable?

Try 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777.

Hey thank you so much for such a quick reply. I’ll try those, thanks

Firefox did the trick with my first question. Thankyou. Changing the file permissions didn’t make my templates writeable though. Need to log off now, but I’ll have another go tomorrow! Many thanks
