• Hey, pages aren’t showing the entered text at my site madbum.com. They used to, but now they don’t show anything. (for instance, click about the bum). What’s going on?

*update* the pages will show up if I put there name as the %postname% given to it by the permalink structure I have, however it shows up as empty if I use ?page_id= This is bad because not all pages are showing up under the postname method (which is used for the posts, not namely for the pages) so I need the page id to work as a fall back method.

this is a major problem, no ideas?

You are using permalinks, so all of your pages should be linked to as madbum.com/%postname%/ . The ?page_id= links should no longer exist, unless you are manually entering them. Once you have fixed the links, you can use this plugin to ensure that only one permalink exists and that all others are redirected to it: https://scott.yang.id.au/2005/05/permalink-redirect/

Yes, I’m manually linking to them with page id. The thing is, the %postname% thing isn’t working for all my pages for some reason. Argh! I’ll try to fix some things…

Tried to mess with some things but still won’t work. When I make a new page it gives me a 404 error because it can’t find it when I look for it by any method whether it be its postname or its page id. This really sucks. And when I remove the permalink stuff, it still won’t find the stuff.
