publish page and update page crashing my internet

    I put a fresh installation of WP 3.2.1 on a new url. Everything seemed normal until I published my first page. The page published but the edit page screen never fully reloaded. Since then every time I try to publish a page or update a page my internet stops working. The only way to get my internet working again is to restart my computer.

    There are no plugins installed. I completely removed WP from the url and installed a fresh installation and did nothing other than publish a page and it still happened. I even made sure that I uploaded different content to the page. I have never had this problem before and have other installations of 3.2.1 that work perfectly.

    I am out of ideas and can’t find anything about similar problems when searching. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

  • Try using Mozilla Firefox 8 and see if the problem persists.

    Try using another browser… maxthon, opera, firefox, IE?

    It’s a good thing you are not here Josh, I’d be tempted to kiss you. Earlier I had to walk away from the computer for a while because I was just about to throw it through the wall lol. I just loaded Firefox 8 as you suggested and everything works. It looks like a really clean browser so I think I might start using it from now on.

    I also noticed a few things not showing correctly where I have tried to center a PayPal purchase button form by putting it inside centered paragraph tags. It works in IE and I was aware of it being a possible problem on other browsers but didn’t really care too much when I didn’t have to look at it. Ignorance is bliss, now I need to fix it lol.

    Well, I’m having the same problem and I’ve tried it on IE and Chrome…guess I can dig out Mozilla and see if it makes a difference.

    Weird though…that Chrome and IE both have the issue. Wonder what is causing it.

    I’m glad to see I may have converted you to a Mozilla user. I favor their browser over most others. You can always contact me on my website, just click my name by my pic, and use my contact form. I’d be happy to assist with any other issues you may have.

    Just tried to go to your website but it came up with an error (both IE and Moz). I’ll make you a deal…

    I am normally pretty stubborn when it comes to changing my ways, if you know how to center align a paypal button I will make my conversion official and make Mozilla my default browser from today onwards!

    Yeah, I’ve been tinkering with some new mods on my site. I’ve crashed it about six times tonight ??

    What’s the URL where you are trying to center the paypal button?
