    Hi

First off – the syndicate-press plugin is by far the best aggregation plugin I’ve found and I’ve tried most of them. Easy to use, clear instructions and it works.

I’m having an odd problem and I don’t know if it’s me or the plugin – can anyone advise please ?

My configuration is that I have multiple feeds named feed1…feedn in teh config page of the plugin but I only want to show a subset at any 1 time over 2 pages (maybe more in time).

I’m using 2 pages to display different subsets of feeds on each. I have feed1 on page 1 and feeds 2,3,4 on page 2.

Page 2 is fine, but page 1 is getting all feeds!

You can see this by visiting https://www.riotstories.co.uk and checking the “Feeds I Like” menu item. The “Earth Hazards” submenu item/page should only have 1 feed shown (with 3 entries) but it shows all feeds defined in the config file while the “NASA” submenu item/ page should have 3 feeds – it does but the first specified in the config file is actually shown twice.

Any thoughts on what’s causing this behaviour – my objective is to show a subset of feeds from the set available on different pages but only those feeds specified in the page using [sp# feed1] or [sp# feed1,feed2,feed3] etc

    Thanks for any help

UPDATE: I’ve changed the names of my feeds in the config page.

    Previously I had e.g.

    feed1|https://feeds.feedburner.com/hews_HP

I found that the problem started whenever I included feed1 in a page but never when I used a feed name with 2 digits e.g. feed10 so I changed feed1 to feed01 etc and all seems OK now.

Does that make any sense ? Feed names in the config are free text are they not ? Why would feed1 be a problem but not feed01 ?

    Hi SteveEBoy,
thank you very much for posting back your solution! That will help significantly as I look into the issue.

As you mentioned, the feednames are supposed to allow free-form text entry, so I am curious to find out what is going on. Looks like I’ll be doing a bit of debugging. ??

?? I’ll keep testing at my end just in case – it does seem odd but it also does make a difference, my site is showing the feeds I expected for the config I set. Thanks again for an excellent plugin.
