Anyone else getting this message? Does anyone know why this message is popping up?

I had recently went through the installation and such but I cannot even preview my webpage. I’ve tried clearing my cache and restarting the browser and such.

I also checked to make sure that all the files were uploaded to my host. I found that C:\Users\Glenn\Desktop\Wordpress\blog\wp-includes\js\tinymce\wp-tinymce.js.gz was missing. I tried to transfer it with Apache but it came up with a Critical file transfer error.

This is my first time using WordPress. Please help!

    Hey VermontSOC,

I’m going to answer this assuming that you have uploaded all the WordPress files to your ftp server to the best of your knowledge. I’m also assuming that you were able to create an account with WordPress through the <your url here>.com/wp-admin/install.php portal.
Please fill me in if I’m wrong in my assumptions! ??

When I had uploaded my WordPress files, I had used an FTP program called Apache that could batch transfer files for me. However, due to some internal conflicts that I’m not sure of yet, not all the files were uploaded. I had triple checked and uploaded the missing files one by one until I was sure that I uploaded every single file.

I discovered however, after several back and forth pacing, that I had missed uploading one very important .php file. That file was index.php and can be found in the top most level folder, which is wordpress if you didn’t change the name.

For example, it is located on %Desktop%\wordpress\index.php

If you were not able to create an account, check to make sure that these files were uploaded:

    %desktop%\wordpress\wp-admin\install.php
    %desktop%\wordpress\wp-load.php
    %desktop%\wordpress\wp-login.php

Let me know what worked and what didn’t work for you!

@esmi: I was running word press from a web host.
