How is the WP 3.3 Tumblr Importer different from the WP 3.2 one?

The new WP advertises that it now ships with a Tumblr Importer. But when I go to use it, I have to download the Tumblr importer (ok, fine) and I see it has been out for WP 3.2 and not updated since 2011-10-11.
How exactly is the WP 3.3 Tumblr Importer different from the WP 3.2 one? Or is this just advertising to let people know it exists?
