• Hello there,

    We’ve got a 3.2.1 multi-site install with NextGEN 1.9.0.

We’ve moved our wp-content folder for security reasons, and it’s very difficult to get NextGEN Gallery to work.

Our WP install lives at /apps/wordpress/
Our wp-content folder lives at /data/wordpress/wp-content

Everything works fine, except the ngg – it is pointing to the install /apps/wordpress directory instead of the /data/… path, and there doesn’t appear to be an efficient way to modify that path.

I found this: https://code.google.com/p/nextgen-gallery/issues/detail?id=182 – where a patch was created for an issue just like this, but the .patch is old and out of date with the current versions of WP and ngg.

In the Network admin section we’ve changed the Gallery path to /apps/wordpress/wp-content/etc…. and it threw function errors once it found the files, so I’m sure there are other dependencies.

Any idea where I can either manually update the wp-content path in ngg, or modify other settings to successfully point to it?

    Thanks!

  • Same problem here. Examining the source we found a couple of $path, but that won’t survive a plugin update.
