wp_blog_version row not inserted after network blog creation

I’ve noticed that no db_version entries in the wp_blog_version table are made for each new blog that is created on my network. There were a couple old entries from deleted blogs in there when I looked, so I deleted those rows. But when I created a new blog there is no corresponding row created in this table. There is only one row and it is for the main blog.

Is this a problem?
